About a Blog...
One of the greatest philosophers of the twentieth century, Winnie the Pooh, once acknowledged that he was a ‘bear of very little brain’. With equal gravitas Bilbo Baggins, an adventurer of great renown, once opined to his nephew on leaving the Shire for the very last time that it was a ‘dangerous business… going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you’ll be swept off to.’
The main aim of this blogsite, for what it is, is to attempt to pay homage to both the philosophical genius of Mr Pooh and the inspiring explorational daring of Mr Baggins.
It has a lot to live up to.
Its effort may be crude and stumbling at times but it can only do its best. And at least by doing its best, as the author H Jackson Brown Jr once encouraged us, it won’t have time to worry about failure… which is a good thing, isn’t it? After all, ‘worrying won’t stop the bad stuff from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good’, which is a quote from another great twentieth century Brown, Charlie.
And, with that, this blogsite's rambling introduction about itself will end… for now...
